Every day, Esmerita (farm owner) walks with her husband on a 45-50 minute journey to her farm to pick up ripe coffee cherries. In addition to growing local varieties such as Red Caturra & Bourbon, Esmerita is lucky enough to produce small quantities of Geisha on its farm. Esmerita received a selection of different coffee seeds from a passenger passing by his farm, who, without explaining the varieties, told Esmerita that the seeds were of excellent quality. Esmerita has therefore decided to name his farm Esperanza, translated as "Hope".

The resulting coffee is pure and sweet like ripe nectarine and honey, we are really glad to have found such a Peruvian coffee bean.
